Can you share a story about that? Al Qually has been a tremendous help on my journey in New York. When I first arrived in the Big Apple, I was angry and depressed because I had so many negative experiences. I believe that it was my growing and learning phase, but I met Al in 2016 who collaborated with me on numerous projects. He always went out of his way to help me with scripts, filmmaking, and much more without any expectations or hidden agendas. We have shot several short films in and outside of his apartment in Queens (including “Down-Range”) where he would be making coffee and running around trying to make sure all actors and crew were taken care of. Since our initial encounter and through Al’s network, I have met many great professionals who have helped me become a better human being and a compelling storyteller.

Even still, most of these actors tend to be from India or other southeast Asian countries and not from Pakistan. Although Pakistan and India share some commonalities, their culture, language, human behaviors, and social etiquette make them distinctly different nations, which Hollywood has yet to present in its productions. This difference is not in contrast to those that the British and Americans have in terms of their anthropology. Countless people of color in the United States and a significant community of Pakistani immigrants in the United States have waited long to see themselves in Hollywood movies and television shows with a true representation. I hired an acting coach presuming that he was impressive because he was heavily connected with local television industry in New York. However, he would continually squander time talking trash, discussing my fees, and reminding me that because of my looks that I couldn’t possibly be the kind of actor I desired to be. One day he referred to an ethnic actor and said since he is ugly and a bit fat — that is why he got hired. He cautioned me that if I wanted to be fit and charming I still will not be hired because I could never live up to the American standards of good looks to be cast in any worthwhile projects. He told me light skin and light eyes are mandatory for popular lead roles and I had neither.

Zelocchi dreams of higher-quality healthcare not just in the US but the whole world. To achieve this, he founded A-Medicare, a healthcare platform that’s innovative and made up of different technologies. During the filming of ‘My Little Princess’, Enzo realized that not a lot of people have access to healthcare, and sought to change things in a positive manner. A-Medicare is billed as the ‘Amazon for Healthcare’ and encompasses a range of different functions. At the heart of the platform are blockchain technology, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to help people heal and get better from their condition. It’s going to be a federated system available worldwide. Enzo intends to spread it globally in hopes of making a centralized healthcare system for all.

What can you tell us about your upcoming projects The First Secret and The Source? The Source is ‘The Crow’ meets ‘Mad Max’ with Tim Burton’s touch in a futuristic dimension, with a group of aliens trained to protect the universe and keep the balance with other parallel dimensions. I wrote the pilot in 2018 and it was a mix of a couple of dreams that I had. Receiving over 200 million views on the first trailer was more than I could have asked for. He opened up about My Little Princess, which he wrote, directed, produced, and starred in. The film earned a glowing review from Digital Journal, and rightfully so. “I gave a piece of my heart in that project,” he admitted. “It was an interesting journey and a very good experience for me. I watched everything through the eye of a young father and I looked at this tragedy of how a family lives through it, which is horrible.” “I put so much hard work and sweat in it. I tried to be very spiritual with it, and I wanted it to be authentic. The message in My Little Princess is love, faith, and family and I wanted to project that. I was very blessed since it earned me a lot of awards. Movies are like miracles, especially when they are successful enough to be seen,” he said.



Which talent did you discover first about yourself, and then what came next? I have had a good instinct for business since I was young. The arts come in second, but I immediately connected with it. I literally merged together with my business skills with acting and that’s how I was able to naturally be an actor and producer at the same time with a deep understanding on both sides. It helped me a lot because the entertainment industry is a business and just being very artistically talented is not enough nowadays. Once you’re in Hollywood, you become a product that needs to sell. Waiting around for your agent to call you while you’re busy at parties is not going to take you far.

You’ve come from an accounting and marketing background. I’d like to know how you leapt from those professions, and went into to the acting field? Enzo: Let me say this. They are not unrelated. Because the entertainment business is a business. Once you truly understand the dynamics of how the business works –the struggle behind it is building a businesses from scratch. I think I was very blessed because the businesses skills I acquired deeply helped me with my producing and acting career. When you are an actor, you are becoming a product you need to sell. So, the target audience, demographics; it’s a lot of media market strategy. It’s the same thing like trying to sell a new beverage nationwide. The basics are the same.
