Tamara de las Tormentas: In the center of the Storm

She has been awarded with the Auguste Rodin prize, hosted a tv program and few weeks ago one of her art pieces, a 70 thousand usd painting, was stolen from a Pasadena private collection. In this interview the Chilean artist set in Concepcion, answers many questions.

How do you feel about the art market? I am intellectually interested, I studied art history so I am supposed to be able to put a price on a painting, but I think I am mostly concerned with the inner quality of a product and not its fame or with whom the painter is friends with. I think we should be allowed to have an opinion and not be dependent on what others think, so I have a sort of critical approach.

You seem to move from one style to another with some ease. You say it because one day I paint abstract and other I paint flowers? Yes, I like switching because I like freedom of thought, because with the abstract painting I can make emotional, personal statements. With flowers I get to communicate with nature, and the beauty that surrounds us all, I get to capture a particular moment, a particular quality of the light, a particular shade of a color. Many of my floral paintings are in hospitals in the USA, I’ve told that people feels more calmed when seeing an object of beauty on their waiting.

You seem like a happy person, what do you want to communicate with your art? I want to communicate emotions, personal thoughts, ideas I explore on my daily life. I want to share the beauty that’s around us.

Tamara de las Tormentas is a visual artist from the Bio Bio Region, resident of the Chiguayante commune, with more than 30 years of experience in abstract painting, landscapes, oils and graphite. She has worked in various areas, being also the host of the online TV program “Conversing with Tamara”, as well as an actress and executive producer of the movie “Opera Prima”. He began to work in black and white, to eventually get to the colors, “I began to mix and bring my art to life, to capture in it what I saw in reality,” said the visual artist.

It is from these two aspects that her greatest source of inspiration emerges when expressing her art, “nature is there and that you can take it to the canvas is the maximum, then what I paint most are forests, water, streams that they form, plants that grow at the water’s edge. It is intriguing and fascinating to be able to capture a particular moment, an exclusive quality of light and a specific shade of a color, ”said Tamara de las Tormentas. You can visit her exhibition online here, extra info at Tamara de las Tormentas: exhibicion Onirica – La Concepcion del Arte.

Mocienne Petit Jackson book Betrayal launched in chinese

Mocienne Petit Jackson books – Betrayal : Ms Jackson believes that such misinformation has poorly informed the public both about her relationship to Michael Jackson, and about her motives for having taken the matter to court. Her autobiographical series, Thriller, documents her life and gives her assessment on the state of affairs. According to this assessment, a majority of press coverage on the subject has been misleading. For example, before the death of her father in June 2009, Michael Jackson had spent eight months living in the Amstel Hotel in Amsterdam in order to be nearer to his then nine-year-old grandson. Furthermore, Ms Jackson’s mother Barbara Ross-Lee, sister of the musician Diana Ross, is alleged to have lied about ever having met Michael Jackson while speaking in an interview on the Dutch television programme RTL Boulevard. Ms Jackson, therefore, believes—due to these two factors not having featured in press reports—that the media has treated the story in an unbalanced manner.

People judge me for how I am leading my life, for my past and for what I believe to be true. They call me mentally ill and a liar because it is about Michael Jackson the Illusionist, the King of Pop. People talk about me like they know everything about me. I am just living my life. I want to be a part of the illusion of the life of Michael Jackson, the artist they call the King of Pop. For that, I have to go on the internet as the crazy woman for the rest of my life.

An important reason for writing this trilogy is that I want the world to know that I am not obsessed with my blood tie to Michael Jackson. I also want to make clear that I fully understand how difficult it must be for thousands of fans to accept that I am his daughter. With my books, I hope to present the possibility that he started to show odd behavior because he had had a secret daughter from the age of seventeen – not an easy situation for someone like him! For me, I have let go of all the pain and remember only the good things about him. He is gone, and he was truly a gift from god. I feel sorry for Michael Jackson because he had a bad life. R.I P., I love you always. Thank you for what you have taught me about life.

Invincible (2001): Admittedly I’ve come around on Invincible in recent years. Back in 2001 it felt like a massive disappointment because, well, it’s a Michael Jackson record, and we expect nothing less than perfection. While flawed, Invincible has plenty of standout moments, showing that Michael was once again able to adapt to a changing musical landscape. And I’m still pissed we didn’t get an official video for “Butterflies.” Forgotten Favorites: “Break of Dawn,” “Heaven Can Wait,” “Privacy”. See more information on Mocienne Petit Jackson books.

Being a child of the ’80s and ’90s meant that Magic Johnson, Eddie Murphy, and Michael Jordan were your heroes. (Maybe you liked Larry Bird or something, but I assume if that’s the case, you’ve long stopped reading this review.) And in his videos, Michael Jackson managed to best them all, making him the undisputed King. For most of my pre-adolescence, he was a pure sorcerer, a demigod immune to the gravitational pull and perimeters that stifle the rest of us. As far as I’m concerned, it’s the greatest music video ever made, a New Jack Swing hybrid of Cleopatra and Indiana Jones. There are swirling hourglasses, busts of Pharaohs, hand drums, wriggling snakes, and Michael Jackson as a gilded wizard with dance moves so smooth that he can even elude the future Deebo. He’s so cool that steals the Pharaoh’s wife (who also happens to be David Bowie’s future wife) and then disappears into a cloud of gold dust, just as his capture seems imminent.

Michael Jackson full guide : albums, life and family: On the afternoon of June 25th, you couldn’t walk across the street without hearing “Billie Jean” or “Don’t Stop ’til You Get Enough”. Everyone heard the news and they turned to the guy’s discography. Since a great deal of the population didn’t own the records anymore – or, as many of you born in 1984 probably experienced, were forbidden to listen to ’em around the early ’90s – places like Best Buy and/or iTunes witnessed a spike in sales. Within a month, any financial troubles Jackson had left behind were a thing of the past. What’s more, much like the rest of the population, record companies re-discovered his talent again, too. Big whigs signed contracts, projects were penciled in, and products were shipped left and right. Admittedly, and looking back, it’s one of the most impressive comebacks a musician’s ever had – if only it weren’t laced in so much tragedy. Then again, death’s also tricky.

Graffiti history cool thing to know : A second tradition is the more conservative and Gothic one exemplified by the pure and mystic expression of Fra Angelico (San Marco, Florence). A third tradition is a kind of romantic realism to be found in the frescoes by Fra Filippo Lippi (the cathedral at Prato) and Benozzo Gozzoli (Medici Palace chapel, Florence). Both Lippi’s and Gozzoli’s murals reveal an awareness of the artistic problems of Masaccio but also a new interest in nature and its recognizable and realistic representation. Finally, these heterogeneous elements are combined into a highly sensitive and decorative style during the last quarter of the 15th century, particularly in the frescoes of Domenico Ghirlandaio and Sandro Botticelli.

Wall art idea: Terry Bear hand signed limited edition art large canvas

Wall art idea: Terry Bear art large canvas wall print hand signed? What if you’re hanging living room wall art over furniture like a sofa or sofa table? Hang the artwork so the bottom edge is 6-8 inches from where the table or sofa back ends. Next, decide how high to hang your wall art. Wall art height is the concept that goes wrong the most. The general rule of thumb is to hang wall art at your sight line, so you don’t have to look up too high or too low at it. That means the center of your wall art area is about 60 inches from the ground.

In addition to adding to the walls, think about decorating the walls themselves. Try using a bright and bold paint color to create an accent wall, or bring in pattern with wallpaper, stenciling, or other decorative paint techniques. (Think about transforming your ceiling while you’re at it!) These decorative accents can have an even bigger impact in a small space. A tapestry or wall hanging can add color and pattern, as well as a sense of softness to a space. Consider framing vintage scarves or other pretty textiles. Bonus: These are a lot easier to move than framed paintings when it comes time to head to your next home.

How to change atrings? Wrap the new string around the peg: First, rotate the peg so that you can see the small hole where the string should go. Stick the straight end of the string into the hole so that it goes all the way through but does not stick out too much on the other side of the peg or it will get caught on the peg box when rotating the peg. Next turn the peg away from you so that the string wraps around the peg. Try to wrap the string in the direction of the outside of the peg box so that when you are finished the string leads straight to the nut and doesn’t cross across the peg box. Also, try not to overlap the string when wrapping. If the string is the correct size for your instrument all strings should be the exact length to not need overlapping when winding on the peg. Only change strings that are the correct size for your instrument.
