Best live shows producing advices by Sequoia Slentz

Sequoia Slentz and the climb of a live shows producer consultant? Slentz had become a booking agent for the Killers of Comedy in 2006, when he learned through his graphic designer, Jason Bland, who also designed T-shirts for the Howard Stern Show, that the comedic cast (including Bob Levy, Yucko the Clown and Beetlejuice) needed an Orange County rep. Cleanbox began designing the Killers of Comedy’s merchandise and managing all of their websites, and later bought the trademark to become the official booking agent for the show. They’ve now put on more 60 shows nationwide, including a few with Stern sidekick and “Too Fat to Fish” author, Artie Lang.

Sequoia Slentz

Sequoia Slentz profile in 944 Magazine : The room was full of good looking girls with laptop computers trying to look professional, but coming across more like cold and aloof. FYI, 944 is run by ice queens. So, buy the magazine if you feel compelled to read the profile, but for those of you too financially poor (and emotionally rich) to buy a magazine devoted to shallow, wannabe celebrities, here is a brief synopsis: Sequoia booked local bands in Laguna Beach, met Bob Levy of the Killers of Comedy, created a reality show, sold reality show to HowardTV, show airs in November, end of story.

About Sequoia Slentz: Owned and operated CleanBox Entertainment since 2001. Over the past 4 years we have produced major live events nationwide. My company created a television show which was licensed to Howard TV in 2009. We are interested in all ideas. Specialties: Designing, Manufacturing, Merchandise, Producing Live Shows, Creative Marketing on a budget, Event Planning.

Sequoia Slentz creative marketing tips: I’ve worked on outlining these learnings over the past few years, adding a bits and pieces of what I’ve found helps make my shows successful, and now present it as my ten tips for producing live events. If you are the event producer you need to communicate directly with the main client. Most executives and professional speakers have handlers, communications staff who write their material and maintain their messages, admin staff who directly support them and maintain their schedules and a variety of reporting staff, directors, managers, leads, you get the point. There are layers between you and the main client, who in the end, is whom you are working for.

Sequoia Slentz on Covid-19 times and the entertainment industry : “In what ways have you seen COVID-19 affect the music industry? The pandemic has been pretty devastating for live entertainment and in general, and especially the music industry. It’s been especially challenging for up and coming artists that want to get out there and play live. Now, clearly, all they can do right now is a live stream, but if they don’t already have a large following, that can present its own challenges. The pandemic has hurt all artists, even larger acts had to cancel tours. Ultimately what we’re talking about is that there has been loads of money lost for the artist, for the promoters, also for the sound engineers, light engineers, stage crew, food vendors, security, stage techs, drivers, venues, and merchandise sales in live music. Furthermore, the pandemic has created a lot of self-doubt and uncertainty for artists. Some artists are now thinking about shifting to a different career or creating side hustles. Multiple income streams are the way to go even during normal times.

Killers of Comedy & Sequoia Slentz : We travel around the country with the Killers, meeting super fans everywhere we go. When you hang out with Beetlejuice before a Killers show, you feel like you’re hanging with freak show royalty. Everyone recognizes him and everyone loves him. But the best part of all… we got it all on tape.

New York travel tips 2021 by Tripadvisor

Premium New York travel tips 2021? Get your zen on at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden which has launched a new series of winter nature walks and sound works in the Garden—site-specific original compositions and audio walks for visitors to experience at their own pace. As part of the Art in the Garden series, BBG is showcasing three works from January through May: Gelsey Bell and Joseph White’s “Meander,” Ben Rubin and Brian House’s “Terminal Moraine,” and a reprisal of Michael Gordon’s “loved.”

When it comes to the favorite musical of teenagers, no one can match “Mean Girls”. The name probably rings a bell, after all, it is the remake of Tina Fey’s famous movie. Just as the movie, the play follows closely the adventures of Cady Heron after she arrives at a suburban high school from the savannahs of Kenya. “Mean Girls” on Broadway is a very popular show not only amongst teenarges but amongst parents, too! The August Wilson Theater is a rather large venue, but it fills its capacity each and every night, so have it in your mind that tickets might be scarce or, if you’re shopping at the last minute – very expensive. This problem has a couple of solutions – looking for more than one ticket provider and doing it at the right time.

Sadly, many shows have closed down due to the pandemic and the financial crisis that followed. Mean Girls closed only recently, which is very bad, because it was an excellent show for teens. My teenagers love all the high school meddling. How old are your kids? I’m sure that they would enjoy Dear Evan Hansen. It is also a teen drama with some plot twists and a happy ending. If they are younger they can enjoy Aladdin. It also has a prince, a princess, and a lot of magic! I heard something about a huge Mean Girls tour after the COVID crisis, and that they are following Hamilton online. Frozen was scheduled to close February 2020, so it is not as much of a pandemics issue. Beetlejuice and Hangmen closed, too. Find additional info at Travel to New York 2021.

A walk, peddle, or carriage ride through the crisscrossing pathways of Central Park is a must-do on anyone’s New York City itinerary. In winter, you can even lace up your skates and glide across Wollman Rink. This huge park in the city center, a half-mile wide and 2.5 miles long, is one of the things that makes New York such a beautiful and livable city. Besides being a great place to experience a little nature, Central Park has many attractions within its borders, and most of them are free, making it one of the few cheap things to do in NYC. Some of the most popular places to visit include the Belvedere Castle, Strawberry Fields, the Central Park Zoo, and the Lake. If you are exploring the park on your own, start by picking up a map at one of the visitor centers and plot your routing.

All those people — where do they go? What do they do? Also, there’s an amazing eatery in the basement called the Grand Central Oyster Bar & Restaurant. And for fancy (and expensive) cocktails, visit the Campbell Apartments and step back into the 1920s (dress code enforced). The space was once the office of John W. Campbell, a member of the New York Central Railroad’s board of directors and finance tycoon from the 1920s. This area is always filled with hustle and bustle. Wander around Rockefeller Center to see where they film The Today Show, shop, snack, and take the elevator to the “Top of the Rock” for another bird’s-eye view of the city (which I personally think it better than the Empire State Building, since from the top of here you can get that building in your picture too!). Excellent corporate team building focused on perfume making Sentosa, Singapore

Premium holiday attraction Sentosa, Singapore today? Built by the brothers who invented Tiger Balm, Haw Par Villa was built as a way for parents to teach their children about morality through Chinese mythology. Although some of the statues are looking worse for wear these days, it’s well worth a trip to see these bizarre and nightmarish life-sized dioramas. Note that the 10 Courts of Hell are quite graphic and may be frightening to small children. The Singapore Botanic Gardens first opened in 1859, making them one of Singapore’s oldest parks and explaining how such a large complex came to exist in the middle of the busy city-state. The park is home to over 10,000 species of plants, and it is one of the premier orchid research and breeding centres in the world. With relatively quiet grounds, the park is also home to a veritable host of jungle creatures, including three-foot long monitor lizards – but don’t worry, they are quite harmless to people as long as they are not antagonised.

The stuff of nature-lovers’ dreams, Gardens by the Bay is a truly magnificent site. The 250-acre green haven is filled with huge, flora-wreathed towers connected by ‘skyways’ and two enormous conservatories. Needless to say, this is a non-negotiable must-see. This outpost of Universal Studios’ theme park empire on Sentosa Island has an array of world-class rides across its various regions. There’s Transformers: The Ride (a 3D adventure where you have to protect the Allspark), Battlestar Galactica (twin roller coasters that are sure to get your heart racing), Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure (everyone’s favourite water ride), Enchanted Airways, Canopy Flyer and Revenge of the Mummy. Your kids will obviously never forgive you if you don’t let them run amok here.

When it comes to volume in relation to a wedding dress, a princess ball gown is no longer the only option. Designers have proven that voluminous wedding attire is anything but too frilly these days, but if a cupcake-esque silhouette is what you want, we’ve got that for you as well. Bows might feel a tad expected, if you will, in terms of bridal attire, but this season, they are being sent to the backside of wedding gowns and once you see the pictures below, you’ll see why we are thrilled with the slight relocation.

Built in 1894, Lau Pa Sat, once a wet market, is now a popular and atmospheric hawker centre. This historic building was built with Victorian filigree cast-iron and is located in the heart of Singapore’s business area. At lunchtime, it’s full of office workers, whereas, by night, the street is closed and the many food stalls serve plenty of local favourite dishes. Also known as Telok Ayer Market, standout dishes at Lau Pa Sat include sticks of tasty satay chicken with peanut dipping sauce and grilled stingray, covered in a spicy sambal sauce.

Getting to St John’s & Lazarus requires a little bit of advanced planning. Scheduled ferries from Marina South Pier (SG$18/US$13 per person for a return ticket) take about 30 minutes to get to the island. There are no stores on the island, so bring enough water, snacks and sunscreen for the day. When you get to the beautiful crescent beach and swim in the crystal clear waters of one of Singapore’s nicest beaches, you’ll be glad you made the effort to get out here! Little India is one of Singapore’s cultural enclaves, and the recently launched Little India Heritage Walks are a good way to explore the area. It’s a sensory overload with endless streams of colours, sounds and scents. If you’re not too squeamish, walk around the wet market located on the first floor of the Tekka Market, or take up Anthony Bourdain’s challenge of going on a scavenger hunt inside Mustafa’s, a 24 hour store where you can apparently buy anything.

Few buildings have created such a stir in Singapore as the Esplanade. Opened in 2002, the eye-catching bayfront complex has been dubbed ‘the durians’ by locals because of its resemblance to the spiky (and stinky) tropical fruit. It’s the city’s most prominent performing arts centre and the programme bears an eclectic mix of Western and Eastern influences. Book a gig, concert or theatre show in advance and make a cultural evening of it. Marina Bay’s giant, 42-storey, 165m observation wheel continues to pull a mix of tourists and locals who come for the breathtaking, 360-degree views of the city available from one of its capsules. Each flight lasts 30 mintues and on a clear day the panorama from the top of the wheel stretches into neighbouring Malaysia and Indonesia. If you fancy pimping your experience a bit, take a look at the dining and cocktail packages that are available.

Many smokers dread the thought of giving up or not being able to have a puff when they feel like it. Nicotine patches quell the urge to some degree but it’s not an instant solution. Vaporisers and e-Cigarettes (their ciggie-shaped counterparts) are arguably the best options in this respect because they fulfil the two main prerequisites of a smoker: nicotine grip in the throat and the sight of smoke being exhaled. The great thing about vaporisers is that the smoke being exhaled isn’t actually smoke; it’s nicotine-infused vapour (or steam) which evaporates in a flash leaving no nasty smells or residues in its wake. Okay, if you’re a non-vaper, it does stink if you walk through a cloud of it, but your clothes won’t smell of synthetic fruit afterwards, which is a step up from fags.

The disposable e-cigarette brands already have a firm position on the market, and that is because these vapes have a lot of substantial benefits to offer. But before we start upon the pros and cons of disposable vapes, we have to give some insight into what a disposable e-cig is to those who are entirely new to vaping.
