Meditation courses benefits today, a hot topic, and we will bring this up again as an amazing personal health course is starting in December 2019, i’m talking about Body Bedrock course.

A study conducted at the University of Utah suggested that “mindfulness may be linked to self-regulation throughout the day, and that this may be an important way that mindfulness contributes to better emotional and physical well-being.” According to Maria Camara, PhD, a psychotherapist who is also a qualified mindfulness teacher, meditation helps us connect with our true qualities. Once we’ve accepted who we are and learn to work with our thoughts directly, we reveal a loving capacity that has always been present within us. It’s no wonder that mindfulness increases happiness, enhances clarity and gives peace of mind.

The Shamatha Project was a breakthrough investigation about the psychological benefits of meditation. Based on it, a journal on cognitive enhancement published research where scientists Anthony Zanesco and Clifford Saron, Ph.D. in Psychology, proved that continued meditation practices and retreats improved attention and cognition significantly. The study was conducted in two phases at the Shambhala Mountain Center, Colorado, and involved 60 regular meditators on whom the effect of intensive practice was studied. The revelations of the investigation were impactful and drew the attention of veteran Buddhist monks, meditators, and scientists all over the world, including the Dalai Lama himself, and provided storing evidence of how the three-month rigorous meditation retreats improved perception and self-worth in the participants. Top places to see in Europe

Expats guide to choose the top travel places in Europe. US has a long tradition of travel. For decades it has been said that the americans are world champions in this field. I have friends who go every year to another country and are preparing for a whole year for such a trip. I beat libraries, swallow whole books and informative material. I read about literature, history, books about life, people, about art and culture. He attends events related to the topic of interest. I draw knowledge about the next country of destination. They want to know better the existing realities, whether they are political or of daily life. They even learn the basic vocabulary of the language spoken in the country they are traveling to.

Reykjavik – Hallgrimskirkja: In Reykjavik, Iceland the Hallgrimskirkja Church is the city’s main landmark. The Lutheran church is a 244-tall tower in a minimalist style in a combination of Expressionist and Gothic Revival design jutting straight up to the sky. Rome – Trevi Fountain: Considered the most beautiful fountain in all of Rome, Italy, Trevi Fountain features an elaborate stone sculpture of the papal coat of arms. It is said that visitors who toss a coin in the fountain will return to Rome one day.

Regardless of whether you are religious or not, the Sistine Chapel is a stunning place to visit if you are lucky enough to travel to Vatican City. It is a chapel that lies within the Apostolic Palace which is the official residence of the Pope. Its purpose is for both religious and papal activity. The chapel was constructed in the 15th century and was designed by Baccio Pontelli and Giovanni Dolci. Other than the religious and historical significance of this building, another reason why people visit the chapel is to admire the breath-taking frescoes on the ceiling of the chapel. The most famous of these is ‘The Last Judgement’ by Michelangelo.

Expats in Europe tip of the day : Unless it’s Spanish and you took it in college, ’cause then it’ll probably be easy. But if not, make an effort to at least learn the basics immediately; people will be a lot friendlier if you show an interest in their native tongue, and it will help ease everyday interactions. And remember, every country has its own sayings and slang — there’s bound to be some miscommunication, even if you’ve spoken the language for a long time. See extra details at We Be Trippin.

Stay open-minded. Not everything will be the same as inside your home country, more than likely they will be very different. However, that is all part of the experience of living in a new place. While you may not love every difference, keep in mind that you more than likely don’t love everything about your home country either- and that’s ok.

Yoga courses tips

Yoga information and good health, this seems like a popular topic in 2019. Stress is high, life is fast, big problems clouds our mind and yoga seems the best answer. What is Yoga? There are many different ideas related to Yoga, where it comes from, what it is all about, and how to practice a range of techniques. Generally, it is recognised as an ancient system of philosophies, principles and practices derived from the Vedic tradition of India and the Himalayas, more than 2500 years ago. It is a system that recognises the multi-dimensional nature of the human person, and primarily relates to the nature and workings of the mind, based on experiential practice and self-enquiry. In Yoga, the body, breath and mind are seen as a union of these multi-dimensional aspects of each and every human being. The system and various techniques of Yoga cultivate the experience of that union, leading to greater integration of being, internal peacefulness, and clarity of the mind. It is a system that is designed to cultivate health and happiness, and a greater sense of self-awareness and higher consciousness.

Types of Yoga: What are the four main types of yoga? Answer: karma, bhakti, jnana, and raja. Also based on the Eight Limbs of Yoga, Iyengar yoga is named after B.K.S. Iyengar, a famous yogi from India. It was popularized in the West about the same time as Ashtanga yoga. The emphasis on this practice is alignment in the asanas using breath control through pranayama and the use of props (bolsters, blankets, blocks and straps.) This style of yoga is usually taught without music and at a slower pace designed to assist students to get deeper into the postures.

Popularised by celebrities worldwide, Ashtanga or the “eight limb path” is very physically demanding so you should not do this if you are a beginner or not in great physical shape. It involves doing multiple surynamaskars followed by standing and floor postures. There are six series of postures that have to be repeated in every class. This kind of yoga is also called Power Yoga and in this style you start with the primary series and then graduate to the next level when you have mastered it. It takes years of practice to master this form.

Each time you practice yoga, you take your joints through their full range of motion. This can help prevent degenerative arthritis or mitigate disability by “squeezing and soaking” areas of cartilage that normally aren’t used. Joint cartilage is like a sponge; it receives fresh nutrients only when its fluid is squeezed out and a new supply can be soaked up. Without proper sustenance, neglected areas of cartilage can eventually wear out, exposing the underlying bone like worn-out brake pads. Spinal disks—the shock absorbers between the vertebrae that can herniate and compress nerves—crave movement. That’s the only way they get their nutrients. If you’ve got a well-balanced asana practice with plenty of backbends, forward bends, and twists, you’ll help keep your disks supple.

Yoga is for everyone: Most yoga studios and local gyms offer yoga classes that are open to all generations and fitness levels. It’s exciting to enter a room full of young teens, athletes, middle-aged moms, older gentlemen, and even fitness buffs and body builders. Everyone can feel accepted and included and, unlike other sports or classes that focus on niche clients, yoga tends to offer open arms. Whether you like to say “Om” or you can’t stand the word “yogi”; whether you are 92, 53, or even 12, yoga can help you.

Buying watches complete guide

A small history of watches and a few advices for buying the perfect watch. Autavia Isograph, 42mm brushed and polished stainless steel case, dark brown calfskin strap. The Autavia has made brief appearances in Tag Heuer’s collection since it was officially discontinued in 1985, making more headlines as a collector curio than a novelty. The welcome return this year of the watch whose name is a portmanteau of “automotive” and “aviation” comes with the promise of lots of options, including a bronze-cased version, and a high-performance movement. The secret here is in the “Isograph” delineation, which points to the advanced engineering of the movement’s most delicate and important part: its hairspring. The Autavia’s is new and engineered from carbon-composite, a material that brings the benefits of anti-magnetism, resistance to gravity and shocks, and increased precision. In practice, that should make for a more reliable, more durable, and better watch.

Let’s move on to the under 1000 USD category. Though any number of great Timexes could’ve made this list, we’re particualrly enamored with the newly reissued MK1 — a recreation (of sorts) of a short-lived 1980s military-issue watch. While the original was meant to be disposable and had a mechanical movement inside and a plastic case protecting it, this version swaps both with a more reliable quartz engine and a higher-quality case made from anodized aluminum. A direct descendant of the original G-Shock from 1983, the modern G5600 version and similar watches are as tough as ever. For under $100 you get some nearly indestructible wrist gear that is more accurate than any luxury mechanical watch, and no need for battery changes with solar power. Just make sure you get one that says “Tough Solar” on it, and has a positive display for the best legibility. Further, G-Shocks are just fun, unpretentious, hassle-free, and extremely comfortable to wear.

Based in Saint-Imier, Switzerland, Longines was founded in 1832 and its winged hourglass logo is the oldest registered trademark of any watch brand. The HydroConquest is as serious a diving watch as it sounds, water resistant to 1,000 feet, making it a reliable companion underwater. The steel band gives it heft and durability, and overall it’s designed to be the perfect combination of style and technical innovation complete with an automatic movement. No distinguished gentleman should be without a Movado watch. What other way to showcase your sub-luxury wealth and style than with this timeless chronograph model, which draws inspiration from the brand’s fashion-forward ‘50s collection? The Calendoplan is masterfully designed, from the luminous hands and markers to the black, blue, and gold colorway, which is eye-catching yet neutral enough to pair with most outfits.

Self-Care routines

Personal growth is very important in this 2019 world full of speed and stress. It’s true what they say: breakfast really is the most important meal of the day. But, why? Well, you need to energy if you want to tackle the ambitious goals that you’ve set for yourself, so a balanced breakfast should always be part of your morning routine. I always like to think of my body like I think about a car. If I noticed that I was almost out of gas before I set off from home, I’d rush to the nearest gas station to fill up my tank. Without gas, my car won’t be able to continue moving forward. And it’s the exact same with my body – I need to put in the right amount of fuel (food) so that I can continue moving forward as an entrepreneur.

Sometimes the best way to have a productive morning is to get a head start on it the night before. Many productivity experts and successful people spend their evenings preparing for the next day because it makes their mornings free to get an early start on important work. American Express CEO Kenneth Chenault ends his evenings by writing down three things he wants to accomplish the next day. Planning the evening before is effective because we have a limited amount of willpower and decision-making ability every day. The thought of making too many decisions in the morning will slow you down and drain your brain for the rest of the day. If you can eliminate decision-making from your mornings, you’ll have more energy and time to have the most productive morning you can!

Most successful people tend to include their ‘me-time’ in their morning routines. For some, that means spending time with their family and for others spending time alone. In either way, with a clear and fresh mind, this is a great time to be yourself and enjoy the moment. Read extra details on Confident style.

Forget about “flattering”. If something is your style, I believe you should wear it – regardless of whether it supposedly “flatters” your body shape, makes you look two pounds thinner or draws attention to “flaws”. Because it’s not your job to look as close as possible to what’s currently considered ideal. Read this post if you want to know more about why I’m not a fan of the idea of “dressing for your body type”. Don’t emulate others – develop your own look.Obviously it’s fine to get inspired by others, I’m all for that. But I believe that as women we are already way too often encouraged to emulate other “prettier, more successful” women rather than think for ourselves and make our own decisions about what to wear and what to look like. When you are trying to emulate someone else you are also falling into the comparison trap. Comparing yourself is never a good idea if you care about your self-esteem, but when your point of comparison is a celebritiy who had a whole team of professionals working on her look, you can only lose.

The proper use of colours is another key element of mindful interior design. Typically, various natural hues are the best way to go. These include earthy tones, as well as different shades of blue and green. However, if you like a particular colour that is not so commonly found in nature, you can implement it in the design with various accent pieces. Additionally, using the power of natural colours doesn’t only include painting your walls a different shade or replacing your carpet. The beauty of exposed natural hardwood floors and polished wooden furniture can also do wonders for your peace of mind.

One of my favorite (and maybe most important) ways that I have simplified self-care in my life is by adjusting my mindset around it. I went from thinking it was just another thing on my plate to believing that it was a necessary part of my daily life. I went from feeling guilty about it to understanding that If I don’t do it, it’s a disservice to those around me. Focus on the feeling practicing self-care gives you and let that dictate how you implement it into your days. See more info at Self-Care routines.

Do you want to lose weight ? Here are some methods

Huge weight is a big concern and people should watch it but also avoid risky diets. Here are some weight loss guides for safe weight loss. Popsicles may be a summer staple, but they’re loaded with sugar and other ingredients that threaten to derail your diet. So, instead of those refined sugar-laden treats, enjoy some frozen red grapes instead. Not only will they help satisfy your sweet tooth, but they’re filled with resveratrol (that’s the beneficial antioxidant found in red wine), which has been shown to reduce weight gain associated with a high-fat diet.

While salt may not be calorically dense, it can still have a significant effect on your weight loss—or lack thereof. In fact, one oft-referenced 2006 study published in the journal Progress in Cardiovascular Diseases found a strong correlation between salt and rising obesity rates. Not only that, but the same study found that when subjects reduced their salt intake by 30 to 35 percent over a 30-year period, their mortality risk due to stroke and coronary heart disease decreased by 75 to 80 percent.

Sitting at a table to eat instead of doing it at your desk, on the sofa or standing up reduces your risk of over-eating by making you more mindful during meals. Research from Cornell University in the US found that people eat far more in social situations – think standing at the buffet, when walking or talking, or at your desk while working – than when sitting down and thinking about how each mouthful smells, tastes and feels.

“The crucial factor to success is forming new, healthier habits. When you first learn to drive a car you must focus on changing gear, indicating and braking all at once, which can feel overwhelming – but it soon becomes automatic,” says personal trainer and fitness model Jamie Alderton. “Once you start to develop new habits, such as planning your meals, sticking to a structured training programme and getting better-quality sleep, it becomes easier not only to lose body fat but also to keep it off.”

Katie Dunlop, creator of the workout and health community Love Sweat Fitness, lost the 45 pounds she gained in college by ditching fad diets and trendy workout plans. She follows three simple rules: have a clear “why,” dream big, and plan small. “For years the only ‘why’ I had was to be skinny so I’ll fit in better and boys will like me,” Dunlop told INSIDER. “It’s sad but true, and I don’t think I was alone in that very superficial reasoning.” When she finally hit her breaking point, she was 45 pounds heavier than she wanted to be, dealing with depression, and facing the lowest point in her life. That flipped the switch and was the moment her “why” changed.

Now that it’s summertime, you’ll want to take advantage of all that natural sunlight. One 2017 study published in Scientific Reports found that fat cells exposed to light stored less fat than those kept in the dark. However, just because a little light is good for you doesn’t mean you can’t overdo it: More than 15 minutes a day without sunblock can increase your risk for skin cancer, so be careful!

WW – formerly known as Weight Watchers – actually was tied with MIND of the best diet overall. But it did come first for the best diet for weight loss and best commercial diet. It assigns point values to food based on their calorie, sugar, saturated fat and protein content. The healthiest foods have zero points, meaning that you can eat as much of them as you like. You’re given a daily point total which you meet by keeping a food diary. See more details on How to lose weight tips.
